How much will petrol excise duty and road user charges (RUC) increase?

Petrol excise duty will increase by 2 cents per litre, or 4.1 percent. The current rate of petrol excise duty is 48.524 cents per litre. From 1st August the new rate will be 50.524 cents per litre.

The effect this has will vary, however in most cases trucking companies in particular will need to increase their FAF to recover these increases, anything between 2.50% to 4%
