As part of Hobbs Global Logistics’ on going commitment to provide our customers with total supply chain visibility, we have developed a “Last Mile Dashboard”.
This system is a separate web based site that is linked into our “On Trac” logistics management suite and has live feeds from New Zealand Port authorities as well as live information flow from our container cartage operators.
It enables an importer of FCL’s to track their particular shipment through the port system, showing container discharge date and time, container availability and outward gate movement. Live details on delivery times from the cartage company are also shown and this information allows you to plan the arrival of specified containers. A link is on the dashboard for you to communicate by email with the carrier for delivery information such as door and grid positions.
The system also has an inbuilt “traffic light” colour coded field which shows the dates the containers need to be dehired by..refer: “Empty Container Booking System”.
