It has been a few months since Ports of Auckland and the Maritime Union of NZ returned to the negotiation table. As the negotiations are progressing, Hobbs Global Logistics would like to remind all customers that in the event of any further labour related disruption at Port 0f Auckland, there will be additional costs that shipping lines and forwarders will have to recover.
Shipping Lines are advising congestion / strike surcharges will be added to some services. Besides the congestion and strike surcharges there could also be additional charges such as redirection of containers, and waiting time at port.
